Investment seminar focused on the advantages of investing in the Czech Republic was held in Finland. We are pleased that the Association for Foreign Investment was represented by Jakub Lichnovský, Partner at PRK Partners, a member of AFI.
The seminar had a very busy programme and interesting speakers. Here are a few takeaways:
- Czechs and Finns are similar in many ways and therefore it is not too difficult for Finns to get in touch with the Czech mindset. This makes it easier for Finnish companies to expand and for their employees to move to the Czech Republic.
- Wood is one of the building materials of the future. Stora Enso recently opened a new headquarters in Helsinki, which has also become Europe's largest wooden building. Delegations of companies and politicians from the Czech Republic are now coming to see the building directly, because it is proof that even high-rise buildings made of wood are safe to build.
- All 3 Finnish companies represented at the seminar confirmed that the decision to expand into the Czech Republic has paid off and is reflected positively in their statistics. Very important info for our economy.
We thank Vojtěch Krejčí and CzechInvest for their support, to the organizers for the invitation and to Jakub Lichnovský for a great representation of AFI.
