For the Association for Foreign Investment - AFI, the International Industrial Fair in Brno is one of the most important events of the year, and we believe that it is also crucial for many of our members and partners. That is why we are pleased that this year our representatives took part in several panel discussions on key business issues.
On the eve of the fair openeing, Kamil Blazek, Chairman of the AFI Steering Committee, spoke at the China-Czech Business Forum. "I am delighted to have been invited to share my opinion on the Czech and European investment environment for non-European investors: it's not easy and it will get more complex: New rules for supply chains (CSDDD, CBAM, SFR, etc.) create complex waters - but the glass is HALF FULL. Those who manage to navigate quickly and use this environment will succeed," says Kamil Blazek on his LinkedIn profile.
Ondřej Votruba, Executive Director of AFI, was a guest on a panel of CzechInvest and the State Investment and Development Company (SIRS) entitled The New Era of Strategic Investment Support in the Czech Republic. He sat on the panel together with Petr Doškář (Chief Director of the Economic Section of the Ministery of the Industry and Trade), Zbyněk Pokorný (Chairman of the Board of Directors of SIRS), and Jan Michal (CEO of CzechInvest).
Finally, Ondřej Votruba also spoke at economically oriented panel discussion at the BUSINESS DNE programme, organised by the Czech Association of Interim Management (CAIM). He spoke about the ability of Czech companies to cope with global economic changes together with David Navratil (Chief Economist of Česká spořitelna), Jiří Schwarz (Rector of the Anglo-American University in Prague) and Eva Svobodová (CEO of AMSP ČR).
