This event focused on the investment opportunities in the Czech Republic aimed at already active investors within the Czech Republic, organised by CzechInvest in cooperation with the Czech Economic and Cultural Office in Taipei and the Association of Foreign Investment (AFI).

Taiwanese investment by 2018 equal 18 billion CZK, mainly flowing to the electronic industry. The event was attended by representatives of 25 selected companies and has fulfilled its potential up to the expectations of the organisers as well as the attendees, among which were e.g. ASUSTek Computer Inc., Winbond Electronics Corp., Nuvoton Technology Corporation, Pegatron Corporation, Foxconn Technology Group and others. CzechInvest’s General Director Mr Patrik Reichl and the head of After Care Ms Klára Černá introduced the Czech Republic as “The Country for the Future“ together with aspects of investment climate. AFI was represented by Deloitte and Kinstellar who conveyed information regarding changes in the Czech R&D tax deduction and in VAT, how to be a competitive employer in this tough HR market, as well as new obligations and business opportunities regarding legal changes.
