EXPO REAL 2023 conference in Munich

In the first week of October, the world of business real estate revolved around the ExpoReal 2023 investment fair in Munich. The Czech Regions & Cities exposition, of which CzechInvest was the general partner, was not missing. In cooperation with the City of Ostrava, the company prepared a discussion panel "The Industrial Real Estate Market in Czechia", which included presentations by AFI members Matěj Hejma, Regional Development Director CZ, Panattoni, and Jakub Lichnovský, partner at PRK Partners.

The discussion focused on the situation in the Moravian-Silesian Region, what the Czech Republic can offer investors and how it compares to its competitors, what kind of investments it wants to attract, what are the obstacles to development and what challenges investors most often face.

The discussion resonated with the topic of brownfields, in which there is a growing interest of investors year by year. What is the number of these areas, their size, location and possible way of transformation into industrial zones? In this context, Matěj Hejma from Panattoni mentioned, for example, the new project in Barbora, which is the largest brownfield in preparation by a private entity in the Czech Republic. The readiness of the areas and the experience of developers in cooperation with the public sector were also discussed.
