AFI New Year's Gala of the Association for Foreign Investment - AFI was traditionally held in the Mlýnec Restaurant on the Vltava riverbank. The festive evening was opened with opening speeches by Chairman of the AFI Steering Committee Kamil Blažek and AFI Executive Director Ondřej Votruba. Both gentlemen welcomed the guests and stressed the importance of cooperation and exchange of ideas for the development of the investment environment in the Czech Republic. Kamil Blažek optimistically reminded that although the coming year will bring many positive and critical statements from political leaders, the Czech Republic remains an attractive destination and our common goal is to take advantage of investment opportunities.
The party was held in the pleasant surroundings of the Mlýnec restaurant, whose atmosphere was complemented by a unique view of the Charles Bridge. The event was attended by Czech and foreign investors, political representation including the Minister for European Affairs, ambassadors, representatives of embassies, ministries and local governments, chambers of commerce and other associations, media representatives, and of course AFI members and partners, as well as representatives of CzechInvest including the Director General. The international character of the evening was underlined by the participation of guests from more than a dozen countries from all over the world, which contributed to a rich exchange of views and experiences.
The informal atmosphere of the evening encouraged the establishment of new contacts and the deepening of existing relationships. Guests appreciated not only the inspiring talks, but also the excellent cuisine and unique atmosphere. Thanks to the Mill Restaurant for providing the perfect setting for the occasion.
