AFI v roce 2022 udělovalo poprvé tři ceny:
Cenu AFI za dlouholetý přínos investičnímu prostředí získal Ondřej Vlček.
Ondřej Vlček zastává funkci generálního ředitele společnosti Avast, české nadnárodní antivirové společnosti, ve které pracuje již už od roku 1995. Spolu se svým týmem realizuje vizi Avastu zaměřenou na ochranu lidí v digitálním prostoru. V čele firmy stál i v roce 2021, kdy bylo oznámeno, že se Avast domluvil na jeho koupi s americkou softwarovou společností NortonLifeLock. Fúze za v přepočtu víc než 180 miliard korun se řadí k největším obchodům v českém byznysu. Kromě úspěchů ve světě byznysu vynakládá velké finanční prostředky ze svého jmění i na charitativní projekty. Se svojí ženou Katarínou založili rodinnou nadaci, do které vložili 1,5 miliardy korun. Jde o jednu z největších filantropických iniciativ v historii Česka. Fond pod názvem Nadace rodiny Vlčkových bude pomáhat rodinám zasaženým závažným onemocněním jejich dítěte a také chce vybudovat dětský hospic.
Cenu AFI za inovativní nápad roku, která přišla do rukou společnosti Cyrkl.
Cyrkl je mezinárodní technologická a poradenská společnost, jejíž hlavní misí je přinášet principy cirkulární ekonomiky do světa odpadového hospodářství prostřednictvím využívání inovativních technologií, analýzy dat a strojového učení. Díky tomu pomáhá na největší evropské digitální platformě pro obchodování s odpadními materiály tisícům společností přeměňovat odpady na zdroje. Výsledkem po 3 letech fungování je úspora více než 1,4 milionu tun emisí CO2, které by jinak byly vypuštěny do atmosféry a tisíce tun materiálu, který místo na skládku putoval za novým využitím.
Cenu AFI za významný počin v oblasti investic získala společnost Onsemi.
Společnost onsemi v Česku významně roste a v posledních letech (2017-2021) investovala do svého rozvoje 4 mld. Kč. Tento rozvoj je úzce spojen s přechodem k výrobě polovodičů na bázi karbidu křemíku. Aktuálně dokončovaná revitalizace původní budovy výrobního areálu bývalé Tesla Rožnov je součástí klíčového rozvojového projektu korporace s plánovanou investicí v objemu téměř 8 mld. Kč do roku 2023 s předpokladem dalšího rozšíření i v následujících letech. Polovodiče na bázi karbidu křemíku nacházejí uplatnění v aplikacích vedoucích ke snížení spotřeby elektrické energie, čímž mohou přispět k naplnění cílů aktuální energetické politiky ovlivněné současnou geopolitickou situací v Evropě. Unikátnost výroby desek karbidu křemíku byla oceněna i v soutěži Inovační firma Zlínského kraje 2021.

AFI has awarded two AFI awards for a significant investment achievement to two investors. The first of these was the BMW Mobility Development Center in Sokolov, which will be the first development centre in Eastern Europe and will transform this area into a centre of attractive and modern technologies. The second winner was the Czech company producing 3D printers Prusa Research, which is currently the second-largest manufacturer in the world and at the beginning of the pandemic reacted flexibly to the situation and certified and subsequently distributed hundreds of thousands of printed face shields.
Karel Dobeš, Government Commissioner for Cooperation with the European Satellite Navigation Agency GSA and Chairman of the Board of the Association of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises and Self-Employed Persons (AMSP CR), received the award for his long-term contribution to the investment environment.
PANEL 4 - Green Deal: Investment and the green economy - opportunities await
Biocev - Biotechnology and Biomedical Center of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic and Charles University for the development of the anti-cancer substance MitoTam won the AFI award for a significant investment. MitoTam is an anti-cancer drug from the workshop of Czech scientists, which has been tested on humans for almost a year. The new drug targets the mitochondria of tumor cells. The results of the first phase of the clinical study show that patients tolerate the treatment well. It has a very positive effect in patients with kidney cancer. The study involved cancer patients in whom all treatment methods failed. Her representative prof. Jiří Neužil.
The AFI Award for long-term contribution to the investment environment of the Czech Republic was awarded to Martin Jahn, ŠKODA Auto. Martin Jahn has previously served as Deputy Prime Minister for the Economy. He was primarily responsible for coordinating the Czech government's economic policy. He also became chairman of the Government Council for Research and Development. In 2006, he became a member of the Board of Directors of Škoda Auto in Mladá Boleslav, where he was responsible for the management of the personnel department and relations with public institutions. Two years later, he moved to another carmaker, specifically Volkswagen, Germany, where he worked as Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing at FAW-Volkswagen in Changchun, China.
