On the last Monday in October, a working lunch called Stammtisch took place - a traditional discussion meeting in the Zátiší restaurant with distinguished guests from among ministers, ambassadors, key businessmen, together with partners and AFI members.
This time our invitation was accepted by His Excellency the British Ambassador Matt Field OBE, who opened up a number of topical issues. He discussed the long-standing strong and friendly relations between the Czech Republic and the UK, as well as the situation in Ukraine and Israel, energy and other topics affecting the business environment in our country. Guests also made suggestions on unemployment issues, which are closely related to education and artificial intelligence. Matt Field expressed the UK government's welcoming attitude towards international student exchanges, which can significantly enrich students and bring them closer to what practice demands. The topic of Brexit was not left aside. The Ambassador was accompanied by Tereza Vicková, Country Director of the Department of Trade and Enterprise at the British Embassy, who spoke about investment in both directions and mutual trade.
Stammtisch with H.E. Matt Field attracted a record number of guests. Thank you for your goodwill and we hope we are succeeding in being a platform for public and private sectors to meet and create an environment for discussion on topical issues.
