The Congress Center Prague announced in December 2016 the international architectural-urban competition of the New KCP. "The aim of the competition was to design the new showrooms of the Congress Center Prague, which will also be used for other purposes: congresses, concerts and other social events " (competition terms). The second part of the proposal should address the new exhibition area. TAKENAKA EUROPE qualified from the first round and was among the six finalists.The first round was attended by 76 teams from 23 countries that were made up of more than 400 architects, urban planners, engineers and other professionals. The winner of the contest was announced Spanish OCA studio.
